Choices Not Chances Appearance

Matthew Feehan was such an awesome interview to be a part of. He is originally from New Zealand, until his parents immigrated to the U.S. His father was an Adjunct at Harvard University in the psyche department and mother a working class woman as well. Matthew served in the Coast Guard and then later commissioned as an infantry officer in the Army National Guard. During his time in college he volunteered to deploy to the Middle East with his unit and ran into a conflict with the University not being flexible with his classes in his final semester. He thought that the Uniform Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) would protect his schooling to an extent. When he found out it didn't, he dedicated himself to seeing that new language was introduced. this led him to the world of lobbying, both local and in Washington D.C.
